We are pleased to announce our provisional calendar for our main championships ‘Racing Weekends’. Once again we have brought out calendar as soon as we can to allow for holidays and time off work to be booked, and for significant others in your life to be placated!

The championship returns to it’s regular 11 round format, partly to make room for a very special event in May, the previously announced return to Spa-Francorchamps for the 10th edition of the 10 Hour (more detail to follow soon).

We can proudly boast we are the only two stroke arrive and drive karting championship to visit 8 different circuits in the UK, indeed we are the premier arrive and drive karting championship in the UK, although that has never changed there. Our blue riband Sunday Sprints, looking a little old school, but not quite, Saturday’s Endurance Championship and the new for 2019, Saturday afternoon Sprint 60. More information to follow.

Once again the season is booked ended by a revitalised Buckmore Park, with Whilton Mill becoming part of a traditional run into the end of the season with the penultimate round. Before that we look forward to sampling their new clubhouse, a great addition to an already wonderful facility for our round 3. Because Buckmore Park is such an icon, and in rude health under the Surtees family stewardship, we return there for a hot, dry one in June, but only after rounds at Shenington, a hit return in 2018, Wales – this year for Llandow near Cardiff. After 10hr, and Buckers Hot, the classics Rye House, north of London, Lydd on the south coast, a returning Red Lodge, for the east, and Clay Pigeon in the south west, make up the most comphrensive karting challenge in the UK.

The eagle eyed amongst will see livestreaming returns with AlphaLive, Double Dash Motorsport Media, and Club100TV, at a standard of broadcast not seen anywhere in the UK, at any level of karting, more on that in a separate post, but featuring on our sprint innovation of the SuperFinal rounds – the new championship within a championship for 2019.

Additionally Saturday 26th January at Buckmore Park, sees our season opener, traditionally known as the Anniversary Race, our 26th year btw, the event offers drivers the opportunity to shake off the cobwebs and get back in a Club100 kart prior to Round 1 a month later. It’s also a chance to try out the new engines and brakes! Details for this event will be released in early December, and there will be strong demand for this event.

Still kept as a mystery, after it’s success in 2018, The “O” Plate – one day event, a cup final of racing, is at a yet unrevealed venue and date. Where might it be in 2019?

2019 is our 26th season, but it’s like we are only just beginning. Here’s to the next 25!
