Thank you for a great turn out to our Awards Dinner last night it brought the final curtain down on a great 2019 season in fantastic style. We can now turn our full attentions to the 2020 season coming up fast.

After a brilliant effort by Penny in the office, and with your kind patience since New Year for which we are grateful, I can report as of Thursday (Jan 16th) we are up to date on Registrations for our main 2020 championships. Penny is now contacting new registrees within a couple of working days of registrations being submitted on line.

Crucially, this now means that K-X Licence Application Packs are being sent out on the same day, or the next, after Penny or I are contacting registrees. Round 1 is the weekend of 22nd-23rd February, and the plan is for every driver, and drivers of every team, competing that weekend to have their Motorsport UK K-X Licence with them to produce at signing on, and you must present your licence. Motorsport UK will be issuing the bulk of our licences imminently.

In light of my new information above:

  • Has any main championship registered driver not received a K-X Licence Application Pack?
  • Could team captains check with your team mates?

If any of you have not received a K-X Licencing Application Pack, can you send an email to us urgently to [email protected]. Please title the email ‘Licencing Application Pack Not Received’ and in the body of the email include your name, the championship and class you’re competing in and a contact phone number we can ring you back on (yes we have all of this information, this is just so we can interrogate the admin system quickly) and Penny or I will be in touch. So far we are only aware one application pack that has gone missing in the post, and consequently we are slightly concerned there is a possibility of one or two more.

If you have got your application pack and not completed and posted it, with a passport photo and anything else required, please do, and as soon as possible, especially if you are racing on the 22nd or 23rd of February. If there’s a problem that will prevent you from sending it off, you can call the office on 01795 883592 and we will assist if we can.

For Young Drivers Championship drivers and parents/guardians we are nearly in the same place with registrations and licence pack issuance, but it will become an increasing point of focus in the coming week.

Once again, let me thank you all for a brilliant response to our plans for 2020, and since registration opened, it has been our busiest close season ever.
